A TORA & TORY piece is made to be treasured, age and grow with you. With the right care, you'll preserve its shine, colour, and beauty for years to come. Below are our recommendations for keeping your jewelry looking its best.
Every TORA & TORY piece is finished with a protective treatment on top of the 24 karat gold plating that helps guard against loss of shine and is resistant to most fluids and chemicals. To get the most from it, we recommend the following:
- Remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping, cleaning, or doing anything involving water or chemicals.
- Everyday exposure to sweat, chlorine, saltwater, and cosmetics is the biggest cause of dullness and wear and tear.
- Keep your creation away from sources of intense heat and extreme temperature variations.
Our pieces are designed to age like gold and should be treated as such, with care. Think of your jewellery as the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.
Your creations should be maintained and cleaned regularly to preserve its shine.
Gently wipe your piece with a soft, dry, lint-free micro fiber cloth after prolonged wear to remove oils and residue. For a stronger clean, use lukewarm water with the smallest drop of mild soap and a soft microfiber cloth, then pat completely dry with a clean cloth before storing.
Avoid harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, and abrasive materials, which can scratch or damage finishes and stones. For deeper cleaning we recommend that you send your jewellery to our Atelier to have it checked, cleaned and to restore it to its original brilliance.
